Are there guest presentations?
Yes. IYI always invites instructors who are currently working and practicing in the field of yoga.

Does tuition include books?
Yes.

Once you certify, are you automatically invited to teach at IYI?
No. Invitation depends on students’ general performance in the course.

Is it difficult to find a job teaching yoga?
Although we do not guarantee employment, positions are available.

What is the ratio of staff/instructors to students?
Seven students to one instructor.

How experienced are your instructors?
All of the instructors have an average of at least 10 years experience of practicing and teaching yoga.

What are the requirements for certification?
Attendance of all classes; passing of comprehensive written and practical exams; attendance and evaluation of designated Integral Yoga Institute (IYI) classes; mentorship with an active IYI teacher; tuition paid in full.

What is application process?
After submitting an application, deposit and a brief bio, an applicant is contacted for a personal interview.

How many students are accepted in the training?
A maximum of 23.

How much time is spent in class practicing asanas?
Sixty-five percent of the time is spent studying and practicing asanas. The remaining time is given to anatomy and yoga philosophy.
