Inga (Ishwari) Benson

Inga (Ishwari) Benson, R.Y.T., M.A., D.T.R., has been celebrating the joy of movement since childhood and delights in exploring this path of healing with curiosity, creativity, and compassion. She believes that Yoga is available to everyone and is found through the power of the breath. She enjoys helping her students find a deeper connection to subtle awareness in asana through rooting, expanding, and following the lines of energy. Inga’s classes usually begin with flowing warm ups to awaken the body and balance prana, followed by both vinyasa style sequencing and held poses with attention to alignment and anatomy. She is devotional by nature and grateful for the radiant presence of realized beings such as Swami Satchidananda and Swami Muktananda -- opening us to divinity everywhere, within and without. She also greatly appreciates the wisdom and humanity of the Integral Yoga Sangha.

Inga (Ishwari) Benson RYT, MA, DTR, is certified by Integral Yoga to teach Hatha I, Hatha II, Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga and continues to study with Integral Yoga teachers, including Swami Ramananda. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, has a Master’s degree in Dance Education and is a Dance Therapist Registered. She teaches Yoga and movement in New York City to a wide range of populations including pregnant women, seniors and children. She is currently completing certification in Structural Yoga Therapy with Mukunda Stiles and also integrates the work of Leslie Kaminoff, Mark Whitwell and Amy Matthews. Jai!
