Nalini Kuhnke

Nalini Kuhnke a native of New York, had the opportunity to study music, dance and athletics as a child. After earning a BS Cum Laude in Dance, she continued her studies at the Martha Graham School on scholarship. Nalini had her own modern dance company, performing liturgical and secular work in the tri-state area. Along the way, yoga became a way of healing dance injuries.

Nalini holds all traditions and styles of yoga in the highest regard as being paths to wellness, contentment and peace. Nalini's yoga teachers included her first teacher Erik Beeler, everyone at the NY Iyengar Center (especially Jenny Kapuler and most currently Carrie Owerko), John Friend (and Amy Ipoliti and others in the Anusara style), Manorama for study of Sanskrit and the philosophy of the yoga sutras, and Swami Ramananda at Integral Yoga. Nalini holds the inspiration and light of Sri Swami Satchidananda as her spiritual guide.

Nalini has been certified by Integral Yoga at Hatha Levels I, II and III, and is a Certified Registered Yoga Teacher (CRYT 500). She was previously affiliated with Anusara Yoga.

Nalini currently teaches yoga at the NY Integral Yoga Institute. She also teaches acupuncture as a member of the clinical faculty at the Tri-State College of Acupuncture , where she completed a post-graduate advanced certification in acupuncture for orthopedic and physiatric conditions, as well as reflective practice, critical inquiry and professional expectations.

Nalini continues her study of yoga and acupuncture with her teachers, clients and students, and she feels blessed to be of service in all ways.
