SPECIAL GUEST PROGRAM
Chant with Satkirin Kaur and the Mantra Jam Band
Kirtan in the Sikh Tradition
Friday, August 8 • 8 p.m.
$15 donation
Chanting the mantras and shabds of Patanjali and the sacred writings of the Sikhs is a powerful meditative and transformative Kirtan technique that balances energy and enhances health. Yogi Bhajan said, “All humans need a self-exalted experience to carry them into the Light of their being. In this age (Kal Yug), chanting these Mantras…will work to bring us joy.” Satkirin Kaur Khalsa, a well-traveled musician and teacher of Kundalini Yoga and minister of Sikh Dharma, and her band will lead us. The format is a simple call-and-answer style of meditative singing embellished with inspiring tales of the saints and gurus.
