The wonderful neighborhood of Jackson Heights, in Queens, is home to people from India, Bangladesh, Tibet, and other countries rich in spiritual tradition. Join longtime IYI teacher Nina Priya David to explore a neighborhood she has taught in for years, on the first of IYI’s new walking tours. Priya Ma will take you around to the various places for food, sweets, Indian clothing, books, spiritual music and DVDs, cooking supplies, and more and introduce you to the many shopkeepers she has come to know. Participants may choose to stay after the tour and eat dinner together at a Jackson Heights restaurant.
