Moving with Sound into Bliss
Hatha and Kirtan

Swami Ramananda
Anjula

Saturday, July 19 • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

$24

This workshop offers a unique Yoga experience. Swami Ramananda will lead an advanced-level Hatha class while Anjula simultaneously leads Kirtan (chanting). Participants can join in the chanting or simply open themselves to the powerful energy of mantra, deepening their experience of asana. Through the combining of asana and Kirtan, the practitioner moves toward inner focus and ultimately to the stillness within. The class culminates with pranayama and an extended meditation-opening that profound space within the heart.

Swami Ramananda is the president of the New York IYI and a greatly respected senior teacher who has been practicing Yoga for over 30 years. His devoted study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and his programs on integrating Yoga into daily life, stress management, and working with the emotions have been appreciated around the country.
Anjula was raised in a very devotional family that revered Indian classical music as one of the highest forms of spirituality. While growing up, she frequently traveled throughout India, where she learned to chant and discovered how fulfilling it was to express her devotion through her own voice.
