Poetry and Chant
The Ocean of Bhakti Bliss

Swamini Sri Lalitambika Devi

Thursday, August 28 • 7–8:15 p.m.

$5 donation

Experience the limitless space of the open heart with this biweekly evening of Kirtan and sacred poetry. Together, we will ride sound into silence as we chant the Divine names of love. We will also share reading and discussion of a broad range of devotional poets, from Hindu ascetics to Christian mystics, Sufi dervishes to American Transcendentalists. Original devotional poetry is welcome. Chanting is open to all. The evening concludes with meditation and the sharing of a potluck prasad.

Swamini Sri Lalitambika Devi began her meditation practice as a child with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and, as an adult, studied in India with Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi. She now serves as director of the Lalitamba Foundation. She is also the editor of the literary journal Lalitamba and a sacred musician.
