Does your voice always respond as you expect, or does it sometimes surprise you? When you’re chanting or singing, does your voice suddenly change register, break, or fail to reach high or low notes? In Voice Clinic, you will find individualized answers to your vocal challenges. After a group warm-up that includes centering, breathing, and some gentle Hatha stretches, each participant will present a short solo selection. Supportive feedback—guided by Hatha principles of easefulness, self-awareness, and unity of mind and body—may include suggestions that you can implement immediately, as well as exercises for continuing on a healthy vocal path.
Gina Crusco is a voice teacher, Yoga instructor, and opera director. Since founding Underworld Productions, in 2004, she has trained singers of all types to participate in innovative opera performances. Gina taught voice at New School University for nine years and currently leads a thriving private voice studio.
