The chakras are powerful centers in your mind/body energy field whose subtle forces reflect the cycles of the planets above. Through the practice of asana, sound vibration, and mantra, this workshop will explore the energy of the chakras, how they correlate with your astrology chart, and ways to deepen your Yoga practice on the basis of your chart. Rudra and Madhavan both teach Yoga and practice astrology in New York. In their experience, these disciplines are deeply interwoven; their practice focuses on the energetic connections between body, mind, and spirit.
Rudra Sisco has practiced Yoga for over two decades and has been on the teacher training staff of IYI for over 10 years. He teaches in a variety of settings, including those dedicated to substance abuse recovery and cancer care, where he was the main teacher in a pilot program studying yoga’s effect on cancer patients. He is certified to teach Integral Yoga level l, ll, lll and Raja Yoga.
Madhavan uses his IYI training to teach intermediate Hatha Yoga as well as Stress Management and Restorative Yoga.
